Check out kels new store online for wall candy!
21-26/4/11 Easter weekend
Here are some photos from our weekend down at Jervis Bay. I love spending time down at Sue place- Kels mum. We eat great food, swim at nelsons, bushwalk, i get to take the camera out into the national parks and Kel spends time on her artwork and sewing.
This particular trip, Kel and Sue undertook a curtain project. Making curtains from scratch. The photos are on the home page; whilst this was happening i was trying out a new macro lens and kel also managed to fit in some time to add some new artwork to the wall art project that has been going for a year. The idea behind the wall art is to enter it into the local art competition the following year.
The artwork incorporates a lot of what Kel is renown for- nude ladies, rich colours and flowers. Some of the drawings are quite intense and provide (for me anyway) a real perspective of what women are, with real curves, and attitudes.
The next post will be on her illustrations from the train- these depict a host of nude ladies scribbled whilst Kel has been on the train to and from work or to the city. She has placed some of her drawings online for sale.
If you would like a print, please email us or contact us via the blog.
Thanks

Here are some photos from kels exhibition in Melbourne on opening night. Plus some extra photos from our visit to Melbourne.
The Brunswick st gallery is this 3 leveled building nestled amongst Brunswick st, cafe and bar strip.
Kel and i had fun viewing the artwork some were amazing bits of art, whilst others were literally scribbles on used envelopes....$180 for this artwork ( i am sure anyone could of done that...)
Anyway we had a blast, kel's work will be there for another week or so, the title of her drawings is "Drawings on a train" and not being bias- i love them all!
